Josh Paul

I'm a freelance web developer, based in sunny Los Angeles, but I also tend to spend a lot of time with family in woodsy Connecticut. The world of freelancing is relatively new to me, but the world of web development is not. Before deciding to go contract, I worked for five years in software development/engineering roles in Portland, OR and Los Angeles. In this business, constant learning is a given, but the most valuable lesson I've learned so far is to embrace simplicity. I enjoy working with technologies that will yield the end result in a timely manner, and at a low cost. Doing this involves choosing a tech stack that's just right for your project, nothing more and nothing less.

So let's figure out whether your project requires something like Rails, a frontend JavaScript framework like Ember or Angular.js, or maybe even just a static site with some JQuery, and get to work!
